To earn the black belts, each student had to endure three exam sessions ranging from one hour to four hours and totaling six hours in length of time, write two essays , demonstrate kicking, punching, blocking techniques, self defense, edged blade and gun defense, ground fighting, kickboxing, and power break over 30 boards . . .
