
A proud father to son Brian Gene and grandfather to Kaylee and Aaden, Master Brian Gates currently holds the prestigious rank of ninth degree blackbelt and has been awarded numerous times for success in martial arts, karate, full contact heavyweight kickboxing champion and "coach" trainer as well as student trainer with some of the world's top athletes in many styles and origins of martial arts. Brian was inducted into the Action Martial Arts Magazine's Hall of Fame for his contributions to the arts in January of 2002 and again in 2006 as an ambassador to the martial arts.
Master Brian Gates began interested in the martial arts at a very young age after watching The Green Hornet’s Kato (Bruce Lee). He began to read, study, and research karate. In 1975, a young Brian took his first private lessons in basic moves then nunchaku weapons from a family friend in Tennessee. His training continued on a private basis. Brian began his formal training in 1981, evolving to operating a martial arts center in 1985. Master Gates has been promoting martial arts, karate, kickboxing, MMA, and national and international championships since 1988.
He was recently appointed to the board of directors of the Pennsylvania Referees Association, Karate World Ratings, National Organization Of Registered Martial Arts League, and the International Referees Commission. He also provides professional protection and executive security to the elite CEO's of the world and some of Hollywood's most recognized celebrities of the stage and screen. When he can, he performs death-defying car crashes as a Hollywood stuntman and has demonstrated his martial arts skills and power-breaking feats for major public events as well as on ESPN-TV.
