Master Brian Gates first provided security services for Evel Knievel many years ago when Evel was the grand marshal for Pittsburgh’s Independence Day Riverfest and Boat Regatta. Since then, Brian has provided security for various members of the Knievel family over the years and appeared in Knievel’s Wild Ride with Evel’s son, Robbie, and Robbie’s daughter, Krysten.
For several years now, Evel has suffered from Pulmonary Fibrosis, a debilitating lung disease that is currently incurable. This year, Krysten will be collecting donations for the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation to honor her grandfather at Knievel Days, which will be held on July 27th through July 29th in Butte, Montana. Brian is proud to help Krysten promote awareness of this disease and honor her grandfather. |
